“MORE than three years since the release of their last album, twins The Veronicas are almost ready for us to hear their new music. Lisa and Jessica Origliasso expect to release their yet-to-be-titled third album mid-year in Australia and the US, where they are based.
“Because it’s been a while since we have released music, it is a little different from what people would expect from the last two records,” Jessica told Insider. Fans, don’t be alarmed, The Veronicas are still pop.
“It’s pop, a pop record, it’s just got different undertones,” said Lisa.
“We are being influenced by more classic music, classic rock’n'roll, but still being influenced by what’s going on in pop right now.”
The Veronicas’ last album, Hook Me Up, peaked at No. 2 on the local ARIA charts and, in the US, topped the Billboard Top Heatseekers. The ARIA Award winners have had hits with tracks including Untouched, 4Ever, and Take Me On The Floor. The Veronicas have been based in LA for several years but say they will be back in Australia for the album release.”
