Lisa & Jess attended Agnes Azria’s Bat Mitzah a few weeks ago and performed a couple of their songs. Agnes is the daughter of fashion designer Max Azria – Lisa & Jess sat front row at his fashion show at New York Fashion Week. I’m sure we’re all a little jealous of Agnes, how cool would it be to have The Veronicas perform at your party?!

Thanks to Jessica we have some lovely scans from the new Bliss magazine in the UK, and Rachel for typing the story out <3 Its a really cute one & a half page interview with the girls. I love the photos that were used!
Did you girls get into trouble much at school?

Did you girls get into trouble much at school?
LISA: “We weren’t rebellious, but we were threatened with expulsion when we wore hoop earrings and lipstick to school. I got in trouble for not bringing my schoolbooks. I would just bring a sheet of paper and write songs.”

What do you argue about?
JESS: “It’s actually unimportant things like who’s just used up the last can of hairspray.
LISA: “Yeah, we can spend up to four months together on a tour bus, so we get frustrated. We try not to fight before a show. It happened once and we didn’t make eye contact for the whole show. Jess didn’t introduce me on stage and I didn’t sing harmonies. It’s not a good idea!”

Your style and songs are pretty feisty, do you intimidate people?
LISA: “Jess intimidates me sometimes because she’s pretty crazy so I can get like that!”
JESS: “Sometimes I think we do intimidate people, but it’s mainly guys who are scared of us.”

Jess, you’re single at the mo. Are there any celeb boys you’d like to hook up with?
JESS: “Definitely Noel Fielding. I’m in love with him! I met him when I was on Never Mind The Buzzcocks. I love British boys, they’re more cultural and I love the accent!”
LISA “The UK is my favourite place in the world. The vibe is so cool and people are laid-back. I’d love to move to Camden.”

Following their hit ‘Untouched’ in May, Aussie identical twin sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso are set to take over with their feisty electropop…
We love the new album! But is it true you actually recorded it more than two years ago?
Lisa: Yeah. Hook Me Up was first released two years ago back in Australia and went to No1. It does feel strange to be promoting it again in the UK, but we’re really happy people here are liking it.
Jess: It’s nice to finally get over to this side of the world and be releasing music.

There is a page 3 story in both major Australian newspapers today, one about Ruby & Jess, the other about photos of Jess.
I have scanned them and added them to the gallery, but personally I think we need to get back to what The Veronicas are all about and leave their personal lives alone.
Anyway, there has been a new photo released from the new photoshoot the girls shot the other day.
